FERO Corporation is a family-owned and family-run business established in Edmonton in 19XX. We design and build masonry reinforcement products with a deep-rooted approach to creating high-performing wall assemblies that reduce material requirements and simplify the application process, serving both time and money for our customers.

FERO is a living expression of Dr. Michael Hatzinikolas’ ongoing pursuit of reengineering masonry design. We’re bringing to market innovations developed through his decades of research and design. Our goal: to provide engineers, architects and contractors the means to create wall systems that promote energy efficiency, structural integrity, low cost and ease of installation.

For decades, Dr. Mike has been at the forefront of the industry, serving as the Executive Director of the Canadian Masonry Research Institute (CMRI), offering support, advice, expertise and leadership in the growth and progression of the masonry discipline and knowledgebase nationwide.

Dr. Mike has served as an adjunct professor of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Alberta, and he has published over 120 research papers and technical manuals and co-authored four textbooks in masonry design.
